Default Looking for quiet Sedan

Hi Everyone, I am looking for a quiet Sedan for my family. The big hitch is that is has to be quiet. We tried the Audi A4 2017 but while I was in it, my ears felt weird like there was some sort of pressure in the cabin. Maybe I was having a bad ear day but I don't get that in my 2013 Golf. Can someone help me with my odd request? Many thanks!!

Audi's generally are pretty quiet sedans. Try again.

If you are looking for quiet sedans in the same price range as the A4, I would also suggest looking at the Lexus ES350 and the Genesis G80. They are definitely bigger and won't be as exciting to drive as the A4 but it is all based on what your priorities are. These are just other options to consider based on your desire for a 'quiet' sedan. Hope this helps😎.

Default recommend using a dBA meter

Ears are subjective as you noted. If you have a smart phone I would suggest picking up one of the Decibel meter apps. Look for one that says its "A-Weighted" which measures loudness of sounds as perceived by the human ear.
Some will graph over time and you can use that to determine what is quiet to you personally.

You may want to take a look at what kind of tires that A4 had on them. I've noticed that tire noise can be the biggest contributor to sound level. Also road surface plays a very big part.

Excellent point. Tirerack and Discount Tire have plenty of reviews on tires. OEM tires usually are not the best ones.

Why don't you get a Rolls Royce- Phantom? It's only one decibel quieter than the A4. The A4 is very quiet, as noted in this review.

I'm not sure if this is legit or not, but you might also want to post this on one of the sedan (A4, 6, 7, 8 etc.) forums if you are in the market for a sedan vs. CUV.
