MkII vinyl rubber floor mats in a 2014?

I have been told on one hand that the newer SQ5 branded front floor mats from the later models will NOT fit in my 2014, while being told on the other that fitment is A-OK.

What's the truth?

It's a gamble.The Mk II chassis is new so it may not work out.Can't you lay your hands on some MKI mats ? They're readily available,E-Bay etc.
