My 07 allroad is having mmi issues with its display. The system works flawlessly other than lack of display.

"Lines" in any digital display can be a bad connector. Cloudiness means "Das ist kaput." and while moisture could be the cause of both, it is unlikely that the display can be un-clouded once it has that kind of problem. Time to search the junkyards, or pony up for a new one, I'd say. (Regardless of the car model line and display type.)
