New 2016 SQ5 owner joining in
The wife and I had been looking at several vehicles to replace her 2011 Lincoln MKX, main goals being AWD and not to lose any horsepower from the 306 her MKX had on tap. Looked at the Porsche Macan, the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG, couple of BMW models, the new updated model of her MKX and thought about waiting on the new Cadillac XT5.
In the end each time we put them up against the SQ5 the other cars just didn't compare. Price was always similar, but the Audi just seemed to have more power and better refinement. Plan was to wait until end of next year to buy one, but that all changed this weekend when we went to Dallas for my birthday.
Our local dealer in OKC only had one SQ5 and the sales people didn't seem to know much about the SQ5 or Audi's in general. It was a whole different story in Dallas, the Audi of Dallas store had 7 SQ5 to look at and Jack the sales guy we used was very knowledgeable on the Audi's and the SQ5 model in general.
They made us a decent offer at 1st, we said we would just wait and come back after next year. They stepped up to the plate and made us an offer on our trade we couldn't turn down, so now the wife has a new daily driver of a 2016 Audi SQ5 in Lava Grey Pearl with the 21" wheels, Tech package and the Nappa leather package.
Put 300 miles on it so far and love it. Was planning on trying to get a new Corvette next year but this will have to hold me over for a bit until I get my truck paid off at the end of next year.
Audi's are new to me, been a GM guy all of my life so I don't know any of the players in the performance parts arena. Who do I look to for a better cold air intake system and what catback exhaust system options are out there to check into as well?
Here is the wife with the new car when we picked it up Saturday, dealer cleaned it up just for it to get rained on as soon as we pulled out of the service drive.

Thanks Steve, been fun so far for the short amount of time we've had the car. I have been going thru the pages on the forum trying to read up on things so to get more educated with this new German love affair my wife and I are starting down the road on.
The wife will try and make me leave it alone, but my out is she said the SQ5 has to hold me over for several years on the performance vehicle side of things so I am going to use that in order to be able to play around wit the SQ5.

Congrats on the car, and the wife. Pick up an APR tune, and you might forget about that Vette.... For a While.. I sold my 10 year old LS2 two months after I got this car. 9 times out of ten, this car would beat it. Then I got the APR tune.... When I finally get caught speeding, I'll be going straight to jail. Have a Great time with it..

That plate might be a Michigan plate, we were in Dallas and live in OKC so not really worried about winter tires. If our weather gets that bad the wife can stay home and work from the house, I am the one that has to rush out in the crappy weather to work since I am part of outage restoration for the electric company.
