Default New buyer and needs help

Thanks in advance to any willing to help a new Audi buyer. I am looking to purchase a used Q5 and would love any input that can be given as to model year etc I should consider if buying used. I've linked a unit i've found locally I'll be driving later today.
AUTO IQ INC. | USED 2013 AUDI Q5 QUATTRO 4DR 3.0T PRESTIGE | GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA | Stock: DA029363
I've driven a 2016 and 2015 and really prefer the 3.0, the additional power is nice. I've been reading applicable threads but love up to date input.

Appreciate you guys and look forward to joining the community.
Cheers
Brian

Your first decision, to go for the 3.0 engine, is a great start. If you see any TDI’s out there you might give them a test drive as well. In short, picking one of the upgraded engine choices is a real nice way to deploy your dollars. You can tune these engines (if you care to) and their longevity is greater than the base engine. As far as trim levels and features go, my personal favorites are the B&O sound system, the sport package (upgraded seats, paddle shifters) and the tech package (drive select and blind spot warning). The example car you found looks nice, although my first thought is the asking price is high for a 2013.

Personally, I'd only be looking at vehicles with the CPO coverage. Welcome aboard, Brian !!

Yes that looks like a nice machine, can't comment on the $ - I'm in Canada, but insist on a complete maintenance / recall / accident history. Good luck.

Does look nice. Also suggest checking out what is available nationally. I'm in VA and just bought my 2016 Q5 TDI w/29.1k mis, w/B&O and Tech Pkge from NJ outside of NYC for $32500 (plus another $225 for the flight). Found it on AutoTrader after just missing the almost identical vehicle up in Boston on CarGuru. There is a really wide swath of pricing out there for the similar vehicles. Good hunting, whatever you buy, you're gonna love it.

Thanks for all the input Gents, I'll drive this unit and evaluate, my hope would be to snag it around $27K out the door. I've also found a 2016 3.0 for $32K out the door, it has 21K miles and equipped similar but its a Premium plus package.

Sound like great deals. For an owner not happy about these low Q5 resale values.

I got one of those Audi dealer letters where they want you to upgrade to a 2018, and they offered me $19K for my mint 2014 with 13K miles!!!

Our vehicles are worth more to us than resale value. Makes for interesting decision when I make my next vehicle purchase. Maybe not Audi...

Bear in mind that a Premium Plus may have what you want the way Audi does its packages and tiers. Good luck searching!
