MY 2016 is supposed to be the next-gen Q5, coinciding with the opening of the new Puebla plant that will be serving the NA market.

Agreed, so the MY2016 Q5's should be available in 2015.

I imagine that there are not a lot of rumor regarding new design or powertrain...

Keep your eyes on the lookout for a redesigned Q7 first. Q7 design is a few years older than the Q5. The new design of the Q7 will trickle to the Q5 (IMHO).

Also the next gen (B9) A4 is just around the corner, with possible unveiling coming late next year or early 2015. As it will form the basis of Q5, this car will also preview powertrain options/features.

Mistake, every four years is facelift.

According to information from Ingolstadt first comes the new A4(B9)model in the Spring-Summer 2015 - means MY2016, in Spring 2016 the new A5, in Autumn 2016 maybe spring 2017 NEW Q5

Really good info Spijun. Do you know if this is specific for US or just general info?

Thanks,
tgt

There are no shortage of renderings indicating possible design directions. Personally, I'm hoping they incorporate some of the Quattro Concept's styling elements. A four door version of this would be pretty cool.
