Those are stunning pics! Mind sharing the photo settings details? (Aperture, Lens size, etc.)

Truly stunning photos. The light, the LED/shadow/sky contrast, the water reflection -- awesome. Thanks for sharing them.

Thanks for your comment!

No problem sharing the details, itīs my pleasure:

I used my Nikon Df camera with a Nikkor 16-35mm 1:4G ED VR II lens.
For the all the images I used: ISO 640 with an f4 aperture.

The first photo was @ 16mm taken at 1/500th sec.
The second photo was @35mm taken at 1/250th sec. and,
The third photo was @16mm taken at 1/15th sec.

All three images were shot in RAW (16mp) and processed with Photoshop CC 2014 using the Topaz Labs plug-ins.

Hope the info is helpful.

Cheers!!

VERY helpful, thanks! I have a Cannon 7D w/an 18-135mm lense. I need to learn it better and my want to buy a 16-13mm lens with better aperture range.

Iīm not savvy on Canon system since I always have used Nikon in my career, but I believe there is a 16-35mm zoom lense with a maximum aperture of 2.8. I think for ultra wide angle zoom lenses 2.8 will be the max aperture you will find, and that is ok because those lenses are typically used for landscape photography, where you almost need plenty depth of field.

If you want a faster wide angle lens, then you should go with primes (fixed focal length) and then, you can get apertures of 2, 1.8 or even 1.4 in focal lengths like 24mm, 28mm and 35mm.

You also need to take in consideration your camera has a crop sensor, so you should look for the lenses designed for crop sensor. You can still use a lense designed for full frame sensor (35mm film equivalent), but the focal length will change in a 1.5x factor. Meaning if you put a 50mm (designed for full frame) lense, the effective focal length will be 75 mm.

Well, I donīt want to go off topic in the thread, so if I can help you please donīt hesitate to send me a private message, Iīll be glad to help you with any question you might have.

Cheers!
