Huge +1 on this.

God forbid you wreck it and your insurance company starts giving you problems because your tires were inappropriate for the conditions.

Wheels look great powder coated black. Thanks for the pictures!! I have a Lava Grey with high gloss black coming in March and trying to figure out if I want to order new wheels or powdercoat the stock ones a different color to match a little better.

Winter tires are cheaper than body shop repairs.

I say this with peace and love:

Don't be a cheapass... either get winter tires, or park the car for the rest of the winter.

You guys are all 100% correct. With all this bad weather we have been getting in the NYC Area, I don't want my wife driving around an un-safe car. I think I will be purchasing a set of winter wheels and tires this week for her to have.

You are making the right choice for the safety of your wife and your car!

Click the tire rack link at the top of the thread. They are a sponsor for the site and help keep the lights on and they will usually have the wheels/tires to your door in a day or two, plus no tax. Be aware that a lot of the winter tire inventory might have dried up by now.

Winter wheels and tires ordered from DiscountTireDirect.com. They hope to mount and balance and ship out tonight. The wife was not a happy camper today with the snow and ice we received in NYC!

Looks great!! My Ibis white should be delivered in 3 weeks. I'm in Brooklyn too, and plan to get my 21s powder coated black like you did. Where did you go to get yours done?

Thank you very much! I use a shop in Brooklyn called Kwiksilver. They are under the Gowannas Expressway on 22nd Street and 3rd Avenue. They have done five of my cars and they all came out incredible! I highly recommend them. Below are a couple of shots of some of them:
