Post Price Paid Here
Sorry if there is another thread on this, but I searched and could not find one. I am looking to buy or order a 2010 Q5 Prestige with S-Line, mats/liner and tow hitch. I am in Los Angeles and have emailed only one dealer and their offer is to sell at MSRP of $52,565. I would like to get an idea of what people are actually paying, particularly if your configuration is close to mine. I plan on contacting local dealers with an offer to purchase at $[_____] dollars under MSRP and buy/order from the first dealer that agrees.
I think the easiest way to compare apples to apples is if you can post (1) when you bought your vehicle, (2) your location, (3) your vehicle's configuration, (4) the amount above or below MSRP that you paid and (5) any incentives, etc. that you received.
Thank you!
Robert

Do you also want bank account numbers and SSN?
Seriously, the overall value of a car purchase consists of more than just price:
1. Net price paid with all options including Audi Care
2. Trade-In allowance relative to actual market value of trade-in vehicle
3. Finance APR
4. Dealer quality/support
Someone could pay full sticker price, but save thousands on a high trade-in allowance and low interest rate.

I ordered 3 months ago and just picked up my 2010 this saturday the 7th.
I'm in Chicago and the Q5 is Ibis over black. Prestige, S-line, Drive Select, Luxury package, Tow hitch, all-weather mats. All the options checked except for side air bags.
I purchased for $2500 off MSRP, no other incentives. Got hosed on my trade-in (ML63), paid cash, but in the end I'm happy.

It probably depends on how far you are willing to drive to get your car. I called dealers in the 80 mile radius. I don't think it is a big deal at all since I only had to travel there twice. First time to look at the car upon arrival and last time to pick it up. Not sure how much my pricing will help since it is an 09 purchased as soon as the pricing for them became available but here it is...I saved myself 3000$ from the MSRP in New York on my 09 Prestige with side assist. (Deep Sea Blue / Black) I started my search with 1500$ off MSRP in Manhattan and within 1 hour I had an offer of 3K below msrp and no bs fees attached. The dealer also set me up with financing through bank of america at 4.05% for 60 months.

PS2s still 199 in my country. Wonder when the pricing will take affect? If it goes to 160 Id gladly pick up an Ultra slim model.
With this new price drop NOW even you can have a PS2 for the car

Sorry if my question offended you, I just think that it helps to have a little structure when trying to make comparisons, and certainly if you get a great rate or a great trade-in, then that is worth commenting on (the reason I said "etc." in #5. As for me, I have no trade-in, I will pay cash and I don't factor dealer support into the pricing equation because I am by no means bound to have the car serviced at the dealership where I buy it.

I paid 5.5% under MSRP for my 2010 Presitge. I think it worked out to be about 500 over invoice. THis was ordered back in July. I am in the Michigan market, which is horrible for car sales.
