Q5 2.0T Steering vs 3.0T
I am really close to getting a Q5. Like many people I drove both the 2.0T and 3.0T. The steering effort on the 2.0T seemed lighter to me and thus not as fun. Neither vehicle had the Drive Select option. Any ideas why? Is it because the 3.0T is a little heavier?

Are you absolutely sure?
Did they both have the same wheels/tires?
Yes, the 3.0T is heavier up front, but that would mainly affect handling, nimbleness. I wouldn't think it would have a sizable impact on steering effort.

could also be a difference in tire pressure - with higher tire pressure, have noticed significantly lighter steering.
owned a 2013 2.0t and currently a 2014 3.0t. Didn't notice much difference in steering effort. However, if anything, the 2.0 was more fun to drive overall (though with less power.)

MY 2.0 hands down handled better than my TDI. I was told that it's the same suspension even though the the TDI is much heavier in the front. It definitely has more body roll and over-steer than the 2.0.
I am correcting my TDI this week by lowering it.
