Next retrofit will be upgrading MFSW to facelift with paddles 4 spoke.

Looking forward to this. Materials ordered. Will give part numbers after retrofit.

Cost is higher than first retrofit.

Photos after I receive parts. Will swap squib too due to angle sensor faults every 3 months.

disaapointed with seller. Airbag was not dispatched due to being hazzard item (explosive). Refunded. Got vengence with negative feedback. Need more time for this retrofit.

Would a 4L0419091AH1KT 4 spoke work? Also heated but not sure if that means wiring harness is different

If I remember well only airbag from A4 A5 have same harness i.e. airbag part 8k0880201AC.
The steering wheel from Q7 looks the same apart from an extra button. Probably it is compatible but airbag and harness are different.

Most say that my Q5 steering wheel is compatible with Q7 too so the reciprocal holds true too. I believe 4l....ah is compatible. Ask seller just to get a confirmation.

Looks like mine, but with paddles. Are those the same airbag as a non paddle 4 spoke? If so, what is the p/n of that wheel?

Part no of SW which is only given as Q5 compatible in parts diagram (some say can be used with A4 A5 and Q7), is 4L0419091AD and this is what I purchased above.

Out of memory, with a question mark because not in parts diagram these may also be used but as I said not 100% sure. Maybe someone else can confirm.

My airbag has a graphite sticker. Looks not a lot different but worth showing what I will be replacing the new steering wheel with, well not yet. The airbag order was cancelled. Not prepared to pay more than xxx so I have to wait until I get a better deal

The additional benefit will be nav button. Might be slowly moving to an android touchscreen' or mmi3g retrofit' or something in between

@DennisMitchell steering wheel looks amazing with the airbag not that ours is bad' but has an additional steering wheel button which will be useful in the far future. I would not have done it only for the looks.

PS. Actually if you activate coding for Bluetooth button and pressing button for 2 seconds it starts the navigation app.

No need to purchase a facelift steering wheel unless it is for cosmetic reasons or you are retrofitting mmi3g.

I will take my chances to complete the steering wheel airbag retrofit from facelift only for cosmetic reasons since the pause on this retrofit lasted long. Total cost was reduced to 370 euros (from 450).

mostly do it in order to convert slowly my Q5 to facelift internally.
(Airbag on off light and switch, Radio Concert from facelift, and the steering wheel from facelift, For HVAC will investigate the use of the silver ***** if I find out how to remove).
