Default Q5 Hybrid System Fault

I purchased my Q5 hybrid about 5-6 weeks ago and have loved it. I just told someone that before I got in my car yesterday. When I turned it on, I got an error come up saying Hybrid System Fault. Contact dealer. Also showed a small yellow car icon (with an exclamation point in it) above the error message. The owners manual says to immediately drive to the Audi dealer and have this taken care of. I live about 35-40 miles away and am going to try to get it there as soon as can reschedule my office hours (probably tomorrow) since the dealership told me they couldn't pick it up for a week. Does anyone know what the error may mean and how serious it could be? Would appreciate any information I could get on the topic or advice on where I could find out more about it.
Thanks.

According to Page 48 of this guide:

http://www.datarunners.net/AUDICRC/l...cs/990123C.pdf

When you get a yellow warning, you can still drive it on internal combustion mode. Can't really speak to what could be the cause as the hybrid system is fairly complex (you can learn more from the above PDF).

Good luck!

They couldn't collect your car for a week?, I would drop AOA a quick call and give them the low down on your new 50k car. A week seems way out the line of acceptable, maybe a day or two.

Not that these are the same at all but when my water pump failed I called AOA and they came right away and had Enterprise deliver a car to my job site.

Good luck

I appreciate both the replies. It did seem a little long to get it taken care of. I'm calling them again this morning to see if I can get it dealt with

They picked up my (had it towed) and are presently working on it. I may be able to get it tomorrow. If you're interested, I'll let you know what they said
