Default Q5 Oil Change

We picked up a pre-owned Q5 today. A beautiful car with great handling although it was surprising that the "premium" level doesn't include seat memories.

Since I prefer to change the oil and filter, is there anything unusual or unique about the procedure?

Many thanks.

Short answer, yes. The forum needs your year and engine. Owner's manual will list oil requirement (like VW 507.00 oil on my TDI). If you do a few searches, you'll get a ton of info.

Sorry for not including the information. It's a 2015 with the 2.0 engine.

Well, here's some info to get going. Others with the 2.0T can chime in.

RJ, assuming you are in N America, you need to use the 502.00 spec oil. I think the most common is Mobil 1 0W40. It can be found for ~ $25 at W*mart.

The filters are a little different. I'd order a couple and have them on hand.

Good luck with the new ride!

The 'premium' trim label is misleading... its actually the entry model. Above it is premium plus and prestige.

Walmart is selling Mobil 1 0W-40, 5 quarts for $22.88 this week and there is a Mobil 1 rebate for $12, thus the final cost is $10.88.

You can do 2 rebates per person, so you can get 10 quarts for about $22.

Bob, that's a crazy deal! Where does one find the rebate coupon?

Here..........

Walmart isn't on the list at the bottom but I confirmed with Mobil that they are good for the rebate.
