Q5 sunroof screen/wid deflector...
What's up Q5 owners?
I recently bought my Q5. I was always wondering if the sunroof screen/wind deflector that pops up when the glass panel retracts would trap bugs. Well after a recent road trip, this was confirmed. The screen/wind deflector traps small bugs.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how do you clean it? Are there fasteners to remove for service?
Thanks,

Thanks for the suggestions. I thought of those, but I didn't think it was going to be that simple. I thought there was intelligent German engineered feature to remove it for cleaning.

I actually believe that the roof windscreen is on of the better designed parts of the Q5. I was very happy to see that I could completely roll down both front windows and fully open the pano roof and have absolutely no wind buffeting in the rear seats. My 2 year old can sit behind the passenger in his car seat and nary a hair gets blown out of place at any speed. Give it try. Borrow a two year old if you don't have one available.

I agree. I was actually surprised as to how well this design works. I did do some investigating the other day. I found that there are a series of screws that fasten down the screen to the sunroof frame. If need be the screen can be services relatively easy.
I was looking for the sunroof drains. I found the front drains, but I couldn't see the back ones because of the roof panel. Has anyone been able to find the rear drains?
