Default This is what a 2,000 mile OCI looks like

Oil goes in clear:

...and comes out just 2,000 miles later black as night:

Were you performing some type of flush? I'm a bit puzzled as to the point of your post. I assume OCI is simply Oil Change Interval.

Nope, I never use engine flush. I'm not sure what is puzzling you -- maybe you are reading into it too much? The point is very simple: this engine makes oil very dirty very quickly. It is no wonder we see so many lubrication related failures, change your oil often.

If I had the 2.0 Turbo I would reduce the oil change interval as well.

Really good information in this video. Everyone has a difference in their usage but if you want to keep your vehicle for a long time you benefit from more frequent oil changes.

These days pretty much all oil is synthetic and high quality. Prices have stayed pretty flat for DIY folks. Dealership prices have gone through the roof but your paying for their overhead (free coffee and worthless salespeople)
