Default Question about servicing

I am a new Audi owner and trying to figure out what the difference between these two services are. Thanks you in advance.

Usually both are the same if you service using AudiCare. Maybe the prior owner came in the service department for an emissions and safety just prior to oil change? Maybe prior owner didn't believe in service interval package and instead did oil changes ala carte. Interesting.

Well my 35k service keeps showing up but I only have 24k. Audi said it's because of the years and won't reset it

What is usually done during the inspection? Would you recommend taking it in for inspection or wait until time for oil change and have everything done then?

"oil change" is self explanatory and you can reset that one yourself if you scroll down a bit.
"inspection" is more like "major maintenance service" as described here:
...and can only be reset by a tool, either dealer VCDS or other OBD tool.
they also do other basic inspections at that time like brakes and tires etc.

I think there's some sort of secret formula at work here. I rarely if ever check that, I just know when it's due. I saw this thread and of course had to go check mine. I had my 10k service done last summer at a dealer outside of Boston (rhymes with Shmatick, not impressed at all). The oil and service were both re-set to 10k miles and 365 days. I have 6695 miles logged since the service and haven't re-set anything. The oil says 3400 mi / 85 days which is pretty close but next inspection is reading 6800 mi / 450 days? I read somewhere that these things on some cars can adjust with driving style, aggressive shortens the interval, IDK what would lengthen it? I'll just go back to not looking at it..thanks guys

Have same situation. Car almost 3 yrs old but only 26k mi. Runs great. Coming up on 35k service. per owners manual. I am going to have my 2016 Q5 in for the 35k but NOT having new plugs & packs replaced. I also supply my oil--Castrol Edge 5w-40. Service cost will be about 1/2 . If no problems will have plugs/packs done per mileage -- not time.

My 14 got a new battery last year, UNDER WARR. I didn't know it was covered, Audi told me it was.
