Rear Door Card Protection
As most of you know with the pet divider you can mount it right behind the rear seat or with the rear seats folded down you can install the divider right behind the front seats. Which is nice because it will give your dog access to the rear windows and more room if need be. Now does anyone travel around in this configuration? If so (even if not) what do you do or what would you do to protect the rear door cards from dog nails, mud, dirt and drool from getting on the controls.
Links and pictures would be helpful.

No, but if I were going to? And electric shock training wasn't an option? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
I'd stick a couple of small Velcro strips on each "door card" or perhaps on the door panel itself, and then match up a piece of dark industrial carpeting over them. Should be either cheap (buy a sample mat for $5?) or free scraps from a carpet store. Or the 3M "Command" strips might be strong enough to hold, they leave no adhesive stains when you remove them.
Low tech, quick and easy. No complaints from PETA, either.(G)

Not a bad idea I didn't think of the 3M strips to hold some sort of carpeting on.
