Receiving TDI Payout on newly purchased vehicle
I'm looking at Q5 TDIs, I know if I lookup the VIN in the claims portal they'll all say the modification is complete. However, there's a CPO on for sale that I'm sure had the fix applied after the dealer acquired it. It was unfixed, dealer acquired it, applied the fix. I know if it was completely unfixed I'd be able to buy it and make a claim. In this case, though, the says the fix was completed but that the emissions warranty is not active. Are they waiting for someone to file a claim? Can I buy this vehicle and still make a claim and get some money back?

You are not eligible for any money, but you are covered by the warranty. I am not sure why the lookup site says otherwise, but it has been known to make errors. |
