Recurring EPC Fault Code 2013 Q5 3.0T
Hello everyone, this is my first post to this forum so please take that into consideration. I drive a 2013 Q5 3.0T with 33,709 miles and have a recurring problem with the EPC light and fault code that seems to be unresolvable. This is a CPO vehicle and is fully warrantied until 60,000 miles. When the EPC light registers the engine begins to flutter, the tachometer drops to nearly 1,000 RPM's and the engine nearly stalls and the vehicle is virtually un-driveable. This occurred on four separate occasions throughout the course of 2015 over the span of approximately five months and again most recently late September of 2016. The dealer continues to remove and replace ignition coils as a result of cylinder misfires as well as replacing spark plugs, pressure sensors etc. However the problem continues to occur on a regular basis. Has anyone else experienced any similar issues with their vehicles or provide me with any advice as to how to have this resolved? Thanks in advance for your help and comments. JB

Try cleaning injectors. Buy two bottles of techron injector cleaner and dump them into a half tank of gas. I've had similar issues with my old passat. This always helped for a while. I think at the end I had a couple of bad injectors. If this doesn't help it won't cause any issues neither. Easy and cheap thing to try.
Is it always the same cylinder(s) misfiring?

Thanks for the suggestion regarding the injector cleaner. They've tried that earlier at the dealership also. The cylinder misfiring doesn't seem to be isolated to the same cylinder. They've replaced various ignition coils and spark plugs previously and yet the issue remains. JB
