Default Sending Google maps to the MMI Nav

I'd really like to be able to send Google destinations to my Nav unit.

Is there a step by step "how to" guide for this somewhere? I've used the one Audi provides on their website several times and I'm missing a step, or doing something wrong. I have the account, have the PIN, etc and I can't get it to work.

Thanks

I had the same problem and found the "Send To Car App" for Android which has worked fine. I think there is one for Apple too.

Another option is to call the 800 # (I don't have it handy) and speak to the technology help folks and they might have a solution.

Yup, that app is the only way to do it in the USA until google updates their map app.

Any idea why it doesn't work when trying to send a destination from a PC to the car? It used to work with Google Classic maps but doesn't now with their new maps.

Update: I was able to send destinations from my laptop to the car using Chrome, but not with Internet Explorer. Maybe there is a IE setting that I need to change?

The "new" google maps do not have the send to car feature yet. I read it is coming. in the mean time, you can revert back to the old google maps by clicking on the ? on the bottom right. The send to car feature still works there.

Get to the terrain (classic) version on a pulldown> Classic per se isn't available.

You can revert to the "Classic" Google Maps online by changing the setting and the Send to Car will be available again.

Oh good to know - I always used the "desktop/full version" of google maps via chrome on Android to perform that via my Android phone. I'll have to get this and try it out.

Normally I'm on a PC when performing this function though, so for that I just use the Classic View of Google Maps.
