Anybody else seen the article in www.torqueworld.com comparing the design of the Audi Q5 to the Lexus NX200t? Lexus has created, IMHO, a real Rube Goldberg contraptuon of a Crossover. Crease lines, phony ground effects and fender wells going evey which way until the make you dizzy. Check it out....

I've been following the Lexus NX and I'm not a fan of the exterior styling. Just too much going on, especially with the protruding spindle grill on it.

The interior, however, is nice IMO. Modern and stylish without being too over the top like the exterior.

I'm sure it will sell well and the competition will keep others in the segment (Audi, BMW, MB etc.) on their toes.

Well, that's certainly... a thing.... I'm sure it'll be super-popular, too, but it looks like it's been cobbled together from other vehicles' designs instead of seeming to be cohesive, and seems to go for impacting visibility ("coolness > safety"). Certainly not my thing, but then again I've got a Q5 that I love the styling of. Was a little odd that they seemed like they were practically saying that the NX's styling was objectively better with how they didn't seem to expect very many at all would prefer the Q5 to it, but it seems like one of those one-person sorts of publications from the website design (or lack thereof), so I'm not sure how much I should expect from them.

Competition is dropping like flies as uglification takes hold. First the MDX, Cherokee, and now this Lexus mess. Oh my... IMHO
