Wiring and hitch included. Nice for the price.

Thanks! OK. So that is actually a Draw-tite hitch #75940.

Looks like a great option! OEM like fit. Much nicer than the others that hang below bumper cover.

I will likely get this one as well.

What I would love to do though is get the OEM wiring/controller as well. I might need to tow an occasional race car/trailer and I would love to have the OEM controller with coding to make those tows as good as possible. Any source selling OEM wiring/controller?

The only drawback to the supplied wiring harness is that it does not kill the back-up alarm. Otherwise it works well.

ECS Tuning sells them, but the parts will run you $450 or so.
Wiring from the controller to the plug (7 pin): 8R0971541C
Trailer module: 8K0907383D
You might also need to buy the OEM 7 pin plug.

Keep in mind you then need to do the coding to get the car to recognize said module.

Cheers,

Brian

[QUOTE=ParadigmDawg;24782827]I have done it both ways. The factory is definitely a cleaner install.

It cost me about $180 to do the Curt myself and it was simple so is it worth it to purchase the stock one that is so over priced? Only you can say.

Is that a single bike carrier in this picture? If so what brand?

1 UP USA. Best rack in the world. I have had 3 of them on various cars. Takes around 3 seconds to load and unload the bikes. They are modular so you can carry 1-4 bikes. Made in Wisconsin.

Here is 2 bikes on mine:

And two mountain bikes(yes, I need a different color of Audi for MTB's)

And here is how neat one bike tray folds up.

Thanks! I have a Kuat NV hitch with room for 4 bikes but I was looking for a small sleek single bike mount. Thanks again!

I posted a photo of the OEM hitch on my SQ5 earlier in the thread. Were you asking about something else more specific?
