Thanks for the info but I think Audi may lose me.I cannot tolerate a dashboard with an I-Pad stuck on the dash. Now they've gone bigger and it's worse.

Yes, I have zero love for the top of dash pad. I am a little surprised as most the other models ave gone away from this and they look great!

The facelift is a big improvement, and that color combo has my name written all over it. But I agree I have always hated these tacked-on dashboard tablets. But since this isn't a complete redesign, I'm not surprised – seems they just used a larger screen than the current model. But wait, no MMI wheel and trackpad and touchscreen instead? That sucks. I know they've gone that direction with newer models as shown above, but sad to see them move away from it on this facelift. It's just not easy to use, and dangerous to use, in the driving position. Too far forward and unnatural.

But damn that looks hot compared to current Q5s.

Does nothing for me, especially keeping the glued on dash Ipad. So does this refresh mean that it will be another 3 years before a true redesign?

Even the Q3 doesn't have a glued on Ipad..........

Even the 2022 A3 has a better looking dash screen.........

The Q3 and A3 are all new, the A4, A5, and Q5 are not. I have the touch screen in my car and I never use it. If I'm listening to SiriusXM I just change the channel through the virtual cockpit and nav/ Spotify I do through Android Auto which voice command can do faster than any physical control.

The new 2021 Audi Q5, including the plug-in hybrid and SQ5, will arrive this fall in Canada.

Clear Audi has not budgeted to eliminate i Pad dash in the 4 or 5 series yet. A dash redesign is already
way over due. Its clearly a marketing must with 3,6,7 and 8 series having nicely integrated
screens. Seems to me the i Pad dash will seem like a short lived dinosaur in any luxury brand in a year or two.

Will most likely move onto something else too, as it is annoying how they change things around too often. Mk1 lasted too long, but Mk2 a mere 3 years and already changes... Nah... Ain't going for it.

Will most likely look at Porsche, Volvo or MB.

I agree on the iPad dash, hope that trend disappears quickly. However, this being a facelift there's usually not much done to interior design no matter the brand. Larger screen and loss of console controls – too bad.

The MKI did last too long, but it also had a facelift – albeit a milder one and I don't think there were any interior changes at all. But I'm curious why updates to the MKII would make you want to switch brands, or to another car in general. That's change too, isn't it? Of course I don't know you or how long you typically keep your cars. Does it feel like yours is outdated too quickly?
