Default Rear Bumper Guard

I'm moving to NYC and need to pick up a rear bumper guard for outdoor street parking. I'm looking for recommendations. I'd appreciate hearing from those that have found a model that works well on the Q5--also, please include what size/model too. I have purchased but not yet received a "BumperShox" front license plate holder. Thank you!

I searched for something like that for a while and settled for a tow hitch and a ball mount -- it sticks out far enough to deter some rude drivers.

Default Bumper Badger Bumper Bully

I have a bumpshox xl and a hitch/superbumper setup. Both work well and the bumpshox held up to a minivan that backed into me while pulling out of a spot. I was standing right there when it happened and was like "You have to be kidding me" but no damage at all.

Good luck out there.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ordered an XL Bumpshox for the front and a Parking Armor rear bumper pad. That ought to help out with the NYC drivers that park by the touch method-they don't stop until they hit something.

Scott-
You can pick up 2" body side molding and run a strip of that across the rear bumper to add a little cut protection. Usually sold in 15-20' rolls, so there's enough to replace it a few times when or if needed.

Wish I would have done exactly that. I parked my car on a Sunday AM along York Ave NYC. This was last year when my Q5 was only a few months old. Some hours later, the driver's side rear bumper scratched to the tune of 500.00. It does not take much to do that much damage either.
