squeaky brake when cold

Hi all, I am getting squeaky noise from front brake right before the car fully stops. It only happens when the brake is cold (e.g. in the morning or when the car being parked for some time in cold weather). It goes away after 10 - 15 minutes driving. The car is a 2012 (2.0T) model with 16000 miles on it. I first noticed this when went to Vermont couple weeks ago.

Anyone experiencing this as well?

Thanks.

Lots of threads about this in the S4 forum, seems to be a common thing with these brakes.

I have this too on my Audi Q5 3.0T Prestige(I live in northeast).
Mine goes away after few(3~4) brakes though so I don't mind it at all.
In fact, my previous car had this too. I just assumed cold weather was causing it and even with that car it went away after few brakes.

it gets worse. i had my dads friend put my car on the lift and remove the passenger wheel on the front. I notice there was a pin in between the inner pads. there was a massive brake dust build up. im not sure what that pin really do. But if i wiggled it to loosen the brake dust. The sound went away but came back the following day after using the brakes. Min is a 2012 with 12k miles

Thanks doobs41378... I just did a search on S4 and Q5 board and you are right there are many posts about this issue. It seems cold weather related. Well, I will just live with it for now until time comes for replacement and get a different pads.
