"$0.25/mile over 10,000 miles per year"
If you average 15,000 miles per year, you're looking at oweing them $4375 EXTRA by the end of the lease.
Payment for 42 months - $499
=$20958
Down Payment & Acquisition Fee - $2,394
=$23352
Averaging 15,000 miles a year + Disposition Fee
=$28077 paid after 3.5 years (42 months) less the cost of maintenance
Which is more like $668.50 / month
With a purchase option of $20,657!!! Add that to what you paid...
You're now the proud owner of a 2012 Audi Q5 2.0T Premium for $48734, $9759 OVER MSRP!
That aside, leasing is for people who don't generally keep their cars anyways, so that's possibly a mute point. With that in mind, you're stuck with that car for the remainder of the lease.
Also note, lemon laws may not apply to leased vehicles in your state. Insurance rates are sometimes higher on leased vehicles. When you turn in your car, you may be charged for repairs to dents and deep scratches, and if all four tires are not a match, you will be charged the cost of a new, matching replacement.
Just buy; and negotiate...

We've leased a couple of vehicles and depending on the residual offered, we made money sometimes and lost others....
but, to us, 10k miles per year is very limiting!
The termination fees can be large as stated above...
but for some - it's worthwhile to be able to get a new vehicle every few years.
and leases can be negotiated just like a sale... so learn what u can about it and be ready to negotiate

Agreed. In SoCal driving less than 15k a year is hard to come by, unless you live very close to work and have no social life what-so-ever when you are off.
I still love the commercial though, first time I saw someone locked down the 105/405 near LAX to do a shoot with awesome stunts.
