Thiughts on 2013 Q5 3.0t with 100k miles?
#11
While I love my Audi(s) and will continue to buy them new I would steer clear trying to push a used to 200k. Many components due to the complexity of the systems in the car require the dealer plain and simple, and at $150/hour labor it will rack up fast with really no other options. At least a Toyota, Honda or even Chevy are simple, parts are cheap and available everywhere. Remember, there are boatloads of sensors, unique computer programming that is involved and if they fail it may strand you. I am in my third Audi and once out of warranty it’s rude what the dealers charge in labor and hours required because they know they are the only gig in town to fix it. Initial quality when new is incredible and generally overall they are well built but it’s the dealer costs for service that will wear on you fast. The dealers I use do exceptional work every repair - and you typically get what you pay for. This forum is filled with huge, I mean huuuuggge repair costs horror stories from the dealers. BTW. My Q5 has that nasty pano roof squeaking noise, I have learned to live with it as repairs would be over $3,000........____
