Default NEW GENERATION MMI

What is presented at CES in the TT model, started with a serial use, installed in the new model Passat
The first model with a new MMI is new Passat

PS: I know this Audi forum but this is the next generation of MMI for all models from VW Group.
Next is new A4 presentation in October 2014, go on sale January-February 2015

I am not sure I like all the info being right in front of only the driver

the passenger (navigator) needs to see it too. Our Honda CRV with Nav has two displays one large Nav display that both can see and one smaller one for turn-by-turn display that's better for the driver. So hopefully Audi will include two, the dash cluster, and a central one. Otherwise I agree with you that this isn't a go for our family.

I think there is still the standard screen for navigation, this is just a new version of the DIS There are no more analog instruments everything is a digital on LCD

Being there is a NAV button on the side of the center console screen, I'm sure you can see the map there as well.
