Default Air Pump

Does anyone know if I can use the air pump (the one that comes with the vehicle for the spare tire) to inflate my regular tires, i.e. maintain tire pressure?

It's loud, takes long, a pain to put the cords back in too.

A couple of the Q7 guys were doing that but they dont last very long and they go with a bang. Its not the electric motor that goes its the little piston throws its rod through the side (just like a real engine). Best keep them for emergengies.

Better yet, get one of these:
http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...rrivals&page=1

I have one myself and it works tons better and is much quieter than the ones that come with cars.

I have the same one. Works great. But found that's it's made by Viair, I think, and can be found for a bit less.

I've got this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...&redirect=true

which I love because it connects directly to your battery which means it can draw more power, and no worrying about blowing the cig lighter fuse. Oh and it can pump air very quickly.

Use it all the time during auto-xing and winter when the occasional tire runs low on my other vehicles due to slow leaks.
