Strangely question

Every car in the world has limit the depth of water that can pass
Maybe this is a question for the Audi engineers

OR

If you need a car for deep water try something like this

I would ignore the 19.7" illustration. At that point the wate may be penetrating the door sill seals and flooding the interior of the cabin, which is sufficient to destroy parts of the interior wiring harness and carpeting and create mildew problems even if the electrics survive.

No doubt the engine would still operate quite well so you could "escape" whatever you had to, but you'd have to weight that against the risk of cabin intrusion. And I'd expect Audi, like most others, has rubber pop-out gaskets in the floor of the body, which sometimes rudely pop IN and allow the cabin to flood if submerged.

The ground clearance, slighty under eight inches, is probably the safe number.

Priceless line from the movie Risky Business, after a Porsche gets driven into a lake:
" And who is the U-boat commander?!"

the intake on all models is at the very top of the engine, where the hood meets the headlight so I'm pretty sure thats not the issue. may be other factors.
