SQ5 Daytona w HGB or Mythos w HGB??
Hey all-
Audi has finally accepted my SQ5 order (delayed due to HGB availability, this is a month earlier than i was told it would be though!)
My order is as follows:
Ive been fairly set on this but of course recently have began wavering with whether to keep the color Daytona Grey or to go Mythos Black + HGB. I have maybe 1 day to change. What would you do? I appreciate the storm trooper look and all but not interested in white, or any other colors than daytona or mythos, for this ride. I want the SQ5 to look aggressive without looking overly cheap. I may end up doing a silver mirror swap later regardless. I have been told by my dealer that Mythos is nearly the same in person as Phantom Black fwiw.

Some pics (thanks to the members ive cribbed these from) to guide:
A Q5 with Sline in Daytona and HGB:
Rear of SQ5 in Daytona, no HGB but shows off how dark the color can be - and i think how good it looks with 21"
Side shot of Q5 in Sline w Daytona and HGB - this is with 19s or 20s rather than the 21s ill be getting
Phantom SQ5 partially converted to HGB - I wouldnt have the mirrors for contrast or the roof rails or wheels
Phantom Euro SQ5 with HGB- bout what id be getting but in Mythos-
Different view of above:

These are actually 20" that come standard on the US MY2014 S Line. I actually prefer 20", since it is my wife's DD. I have 21" on my CTTS and I can tell you the price difference in 20" and 21" tires is significant and a lot less choices. For this reason, when it comes time to replace my 21", I'll probably be looking to upgrade to 22".
As for Daytona and Mythos black, I guess I have both. My Q5 is Daytona and my CTTS is blacked out. Personally I like the all black look. I know folks will tell you up keep is a pain. I can't argue with that. What I did with my black car is get it coated with Opti-coat (pro version by my detailer) and washing isn't so bad. If it isn't filthy, I usually just spray it down with my foam cannon and rinse off with my power washer. Even then the foam slides off because of the Opti-coat.

Go with the Daytona. While we have Monsoon, I do not think you can go wrong with the slight contrast between HGB and Daytona.
It took me some time to get use to the black over grey, but now I think it is cool and looks mean.

I think Daytona will be a less common color on the SQ5, I'd go Daytona if I was you....for the same reasons we went Daytona ou ours.
Black harder to maintain "clean", common, hot, etc...
And I want to see a HGB Daytona SQ5 on the forum ;-) Little brother to mine

My SQ5 is in Phantom Black and I love it (especially with the Red Magma interior). However, it is harder to keep looking clean (although my paint coating helps with that).
You can click my sig for pics.
The Daytona Grey is also just as sharp in my opinion.

Thanks everyone for your advice! going to keep it Daytona - i know theres another member with mythos + hgb on order so will be interested to see that. id be smitten with either option- the second i heard daytona would be available on the 15s i was convinced it was my color. ill go with that gut read- but am glad to blame Audi USA for dragging their feet on HGB and giving me the opportunity to second guess (nearly changed order to an S4, nearly went for a lightly used 14 SRT Jeep, etc). Cant wait now!
