What color silver is Cuvee Metallic?
There's a 2016 a few hours drive from me —but— my wife gets real cranky when she sees any gold or tan blended in ...you know, edging toward Champagne or dusky-silver. It will be her car, so, if Silver, it has to be undiluted Silver. ...up or down the dark/light slider is Ok. Maybe if you have one you can tell me. (and save me a long car ride) Thanks

It is sort of a smokey silver color, very handsome. It's NOT a brilliant silver.

Thanks, Uber... When I think of smoke; the Pope just died comes to mind ...as does, when Sadam torched the oil fields in Kuwait. I had a 997 once that balanced well on a very narrow slackline - it only got yellow'ish when something brilliant was next to it, or like this late afternoon Sun. (in the right light the wheels and body looked the nearly the same)
(these were like Olympic medals bought not won - I never really felt comfortable owning them ...the Boxster was ok because few where I live knew what it was)

I think you've got to witness the color for yourself. It looks great under a very cloudy sky. You don't see it that often, but I like it 'cause we've had so many brilliant silvers over the years. This is a nice difference, IMO.

Ya, copy that... Uber. I pulled out an old Pantone color book, and Gray is what you'd expect: Black and White... In printing ink you can see the change when you look at #406C - it's a light dusky gray: 98pts White - 7/8pts. Black - 1/8th part Rubine Red. BUT, I also just remembered, I buy paint from an auto paint supply shop - I'll go up there and see what the mix is ...maybe, because it's a '16, there will be a book with AUDI chips in it. I'll report back.
I also learned over the years, searching for the 'right' car, get the option codes, and a warranty repair history. Even plane rides are cheap - especially if the price is right for a well-optioned car. Cheers.

This is excellent advice. Pictures don't do Cuvee justice. The true color just doesn't come through. Before we got ours both my wife and I ruled it out after looking at pictures. While looking at other colors at the dealer, one had just been unloaded off the transport at the dealership and the wrap removed. One look and we both agreed we liked it and bought that Q5. My wife still misses the color - Easy to take care of too.

It's a nice color but it is not pure silver, it does have some gold to it.

Posts 22 and 23 also have some pretty good pics of Cuvee on a Q5.
