What do Q5 owners think of the A7?
The new A7 has caught my attention and I'm leaning towards it for my next car (in 2 or 3 years). I thought it would be interesting to get some comments about the A7 from other Q5 owners.
I like the fact that it is a beautiful sport sedan, but still offers a lot of room for luggage and equipment that I have to travel with. Just a bit worried about ground clearance for the winter conditions here in the north east. I love the design. Thoughts?

Saw a black one parked on the street yesterday. Interior was platinum. It was...underwhelming. Very sleek and low profile, like the CLS, but I can't get past the rear. Then again, I've never been a big fan of the sloping back design. Ground clearance looked to be about the same as a regular sedan so depends on how much snow you get in your neck of the woods. Much prefer the new A6, particularly if the diesel ever arrives. Eyeing it as a replacement for the wife's '02 A4.

The A6 and A7 have very similar interior and the same engine. I like the fastback look of the A7 but no way am I going to pay an extra $10000 for it. The new A6, as it has always been in past, is the bargain of the Audi lineup.
I have been driving a A6 in New England for 5 years now. Never had a problem with ground clearance, but then again, I dont go up tho the slopes. You just need to know your limitations and stay on the packed snow.

Had one as a rental a few weeks back, it had the 3.0Tdi. I like the car a lot and it was very comfortable over the weekend I had it. Not sure if I would ever get one myself. I would be more interested in the A6 wagon over the A7 but nonetheless it was very nice.

The A7s I have seen in the flesh seem really big to me. Too impractical for my city-driver needs, I think, and I agree with others here that if I was shopping in that market I would head toward the A6, Avant or otherwise. I can't say I am completely sold on the larger sportback body style—Jag & others are headed that way—but hatches are better than trunks in my book. I see that among the models that we are not permitted in North America is an A5 Sportback. Very similar, just smaller: I may have looked at this as an option to the Q5 if we had it here. S5 Sportback available too.

Last sunday I was passing Rusnak Audi in Thousand Oaks and stop by to see SA and chat with him. A7 was on a floor, and I spend a few minutes inside. What a beauty!!! Pretty sure wife will be very happy to update her ride.
