What do Q5 owners think of the A7?
#12
I think they look great . . . much better in person than photos. They are too big for me, too, however. I like the size of the Q5/A4 Avant, but even they are plenty big. Ultimately, I would love to see the Sportback version of the next A3 come stateside, but I'm told we're only getting the sedan. Damn shame! I lost all interest in sedans after living with hatchbacks/wagons for the last decade. Now I'm pinning my hopes on the Q3, X1, Tiguan or CX-5 diesel.

Seen it in person at the launch, beautiful cruiser. Huge trunk! Love the S line wheels in the polished alloy look as well, really sets it off on the silver paint. I Think if I was 10 years older I would buy it.

went into the dealership to check on my order and talk to the salesman....there was a A7 "test vehicle" on the lot. the sticker was $80K (so it had all the candy) and so the wife asked if we could take it out. the sales guy tossed us the fob and said, "we close at 9"
we pull out and i gotta say, MAN!! that car is SUH-WEET!
the fit and finish is typical Audi but the engine (can do 0-60 in 5.5s) was awesome. i floored it several times and it was smooth as silk. felt no hunting, no hesitation from the trans...just mean ole power that pushed us back into the leather seats and made us a sandwich
the MMI and tech was nice. the navi screen pops out of its hiding spot like they do on the A8. the HUD display was very kool. not distracting but just a transparent floating number just below the natural sight line to watch the road. i didnt try it but i read that in addition to the speed the HUD will display navi symbols (turn signal and such...)
it was very satisfying to see an older gentleman in a late model MB stop and stare as we drove by. the car just felt great. handled turns and speed with ease. didnt really give much of a test to the B&O but im sure it rocks. i lost count of how many times the wife said, "i love this car"
when we got back we told the sales guy that letting people test drive that car will make it hard to sell anything else...lol. he said that the A6 is getting a makeover to look more like the A7/8
