Default Fixing folding rear seat, 2010 Q5

Looking for an answer to a technical question.

As stated in a previous thread, https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=2867238
I'm having an issue with the center folding seat that allows the rear seats of a 2010 Q5 be 40/20/40 split.

Based on the replies I got, it seems people have this feature working in their vehicles.

Mine, however, seems to be malfunctioning. Pushing the button to release the seat does not cause the latch, which is clearly visible, to move at all, thus preventing the seat from folding down.

I have corresponded with another member of this forum who has experienced this problem too. So I'm not alone.

I'm wondering if there's any Audi Techs, or Q5 owners, who would like to offer up a few suggestions to getting this mechanism apart and getting to the root of the problem. There is a torx screw which is tucked up inside the mechanism, but too far up to reach a screw driver in.

Any help is appreciated.

Dealing with the same issue on my 2010 Q5. It would be great to find a solution.
