19" or 20" Wheels on Q5?
Anyone in an urban area (i.e. with less than pristine roads) compare the Q5 with 19" vs 20" rims? It seems here in our area (DC) 90% of the Q5s have the 20" rims. I am buying this week and appreciate people's input. Thanks!

Ran into the same situation here in NYC. I test drove a Q5 Premium Plus with 19s but the only one they had with my color combo (Navarra Blue/Black) had 20s. It actually rides pretty well through most conditions except the larger potholes and road joints, which I try my best to avoid anyway. I wouldn't be worried.

Hi jpnwdc. I'm in Northern VA and bought a 2019 Q5 with the black optic package and the 20" wheels about three months ago. Even here in the Fairfax and Loudoun Country suburbs there are some pretty bad roads. While I try to avoid potholes, etc., I don't have any complaints about the ride quality of the 20" wheels.

I have 2018 Q5 with 20” wheels and car is surprisingly comfortable. Have no complaints about the ride quality- previous car had stiff aftermarket suspension with lowered springs in 17” BBS wheels. I find Q5 suspension in 20” a lot more comfortable and ride more enjoyable.

I am in seattle area and I have been doing fine with 20s. With the constant rain, potholes are really bad in my area. I have gone through few bad ones and so far no issues. Ride quality is great and not that much noise either. I do have continentals and have not noticed anything bad wrt noise. I would replace them with better ones, once the time comes.I am not sure if you get to pick the tires.

20's in Chicago area as well, and we have potholes the size of WWII tank traps. I'm on the OEM Continentals, no issues; had them on my old A4 also w/o complaint.
