Seems like every time we want to buy we are in between years. If I come across the right one I would consider it.

When does the Summer of Audit event typically start each year? I'm likely going to jump into an Audi at some point after March 31 of next year. Most likely a Q5 but I'm obsessed with the new A7 design. If I can jump into an A7 at 16% off MSRP during the Summer of Audi event, that may just be the play.

It usually begins July 1st... with inventory being ordered/built the 3rd week of May...

Wife's 2018 Q5 Summer of Audi was dealer ordered 05/16/2018, arrived in port and released for dealer delivery June 25, 2018. We picked it up July 2nd.

Certainly not sure if this pattern is followed every year, but it is what we experienced this year.

Ventilated seats.... Only In Black unless I'm missing something. For 2019 are there seat color options. I cannot find a build sheet. Thanks

ventilated seats are black only in an SQ5

That being said, regardless of what car (BMW included), the seats are not cooled, just ventilated. The climate control in the Audi is exponentially better than in the BMW. Having had ventilated seats on 8 of my previous cars (Audi included), I no longer care about it. Makes seats harder to clean too

Seat colors for the SQ5 in 2019 are same as 2018

Alcantera/leather comes in black or gray

Ventilated - black only

Napa Leather - black, gray or red

Resale of the Audi is miles ahead of the BMW if you are buying.

Hi...thanks for your reply...just wanted to confirm seat choice. As for resale regardless of make...heads take a hit...tails take hit. The only thing holding us right now is time constraints. The SQ would be our 6th Audi. Wife has a MacanS. Customer loyalty is looking good. My choice is Red w/venti seats. The seats do draw air in and is helpful in Florida. Me ...I can do without them.

Unfortunately red seats are only offered on the Napa leather

Absolutely, everything takes a hit, no doubt about it...and the more expensive it is, the bigger the hit. But with BMW, they pum p sales by subsidizing leases, which unfortunately hurts the value of the people actually buying the car. Just food for thought. Impressive vehicles either way, but from a technology standpoint and bang for the buck (although I've had 4 BMW's, 3 of them M's), the nod goes to the SQ here imho (granted, I work for the brand, so just slightly biased!).

Hi everyone, I ordered an X3-m40i. I went with it for few reasons reasons. Nothing negative about the SQ..just can get the X faster and the dealer is real close. Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. Enjoy your SQ's they are special. (however nothing is ever over....might trade the Q3 for an SQ5 in a few months)
