2018 Q5 burning oil?

2018 Q5 burning oil?
I've owned my Q5 for about 2 months now and have put about 3000 miles on the car and I've noticed that it is slowly burning through oil (it's not leaking because I don't see any drips). I got the warning a few weeks back that the oil level was low, so I added a 1/2 quart, and about two weeks later it's back to the same level as when I got the warning. Anyone else experience this? Should I take it back to the dealer to have them look at it?

Track how much oil you are adding vs. the number of miles traveled. I would discuss it with the dealer once you have some data to share.
Welcome aboard!
(FWIW, the oil consumption issue with the 4 cylinder engines has not be cured. I believe it has been improved, but certainly not eliminated.)

I had a 17”
a4 put 16000 miles on it in less than a year never needed to add oil

I have a 2018 that I purchased on August 28 and the odometer shows 4571 and the oil levels shows halfway above low oil. I would take it in and have it checked just in case. Better safe than sorry.

8k miles on my SQ5 and my oil level is at 60-70%. I figure this is normal for the break-in period. It does jump up to 80-100% sometimes which is odd. The engine runs great so in happy. I know it's not a Q5, although the info could help.

Oil consumption certainly an issue with the 2 litre engine in the past. We had some major issues with our MY11 Q5 and plenty of threads on this if you search. Thankfully our MY18 has not had any issues.

Had my Q5 since Mar18, the first time noted oil level drop by 1/4 around 3000KMs. The car was recently hit 5000KMs, oil level was less than 1/2.
Will bring my car back to the dealership to perform a first 5000 KMs health check.
3000 KMs - 1/4 gone
5000 KMs - 1/2 gone
