2018 Q5 with MMI volume know not working

So my volume knob located on my center console near the pasenger seat is not working. I turn it ...press it... click it left and right I get zilch. I called my service dept. And the rep is at a loss. I asked if there was a fuse his answer was no. Car has 900 miles on it so far. I am bringin the car to them friday. Anyone else had this problem?? This js my first Audi.

thanks!

It happens from time to time. It could be defective. The vehicle is under warranty and they will fix it.

Thanks for the reply. So the weird thing is that its working now. I called up the service dept again but they were closed. The car was off for about 45min. I am really hoping this is maybe just a glitch and hopefully not the beginning of underlying problems in the future. Car is 3 weeks old and I just hit
1k miles.

Never forget that we deal with software. With Windows, we are used to doing the Ctrl+Alt+Del thing at least once a day. So whenever you encounter anything out of the ordinary, do the equivalent of Ctrl+Alt+Del (i.e. MMI knob in plus the Nav and Radio Buttons forward (all at the same time)) to reboot the MMI.
