This article covers a little more info including the engine choices that I have seen mentioned by others...gas 3.0 US and Diesel Europe. I first read about the change to a 3.0 Turbo gas engine similar to the new for 2018 2.0 gas as speculation about a change to the 2018 Q7. Time will tell, maybe only a coupe of months til we know more.

Thanks Andres! From what I could interpret it will come loaded. 0-62 5.4 seconds; 18.5 gallon tank; 3792 lbs dry? seems light.

Nothing about the USA release date but according to Audi it will be mid 2017 for Germany.

Keeping my fingers crossed. The official Audi USA press release says:

"the high-performance, sporty variant rounds out the Q5 family and will be available Spring 2017"

That's what I am going with for the USA....I mean heck, it just has to come over the border from Mexico on the choo-choo.
