Well, I probably won't know until the vehicle shows up and we go through the financing. However, I mentioned it now since the delay is obvious so that its not a total surprise when I bring it up later. I suspect the longer the delay, the better my odds are in perhaps getting Audi Care thrown in or something.

Has yours been built yet? Do you have a VIN? Is it on your dealer's website?
As for mine:
I can only hope mine is built, last I heard it is in production. I don't have a VIN and it definitely is NOT on the dealer's website currently.

May 23rd and you still don't have the car. You better get a discount or something.
I think delay maybe due to preference in dealership maybe ?

I agree! In all fairness, DAP orders did not start getting manufactured until mid-July. None-the-less, we are now near the end of August and mine should have been in that early lot IMO. I am asking for concessions so we will see.

...
hello, i put a reserve/partial down payment on a SQ5 about a week ago and was told that the car is in Davisville port but isn't being released now until the 8/24 at the latest..subject to change, I'm sure. It's a dealer ordered car from Audi of Farmington hills, MI that i saw on their website.
It has the S sport package & dynamic steering among other things.
I've worked in automotive industry at a couple of the OEM's now for 15 yrs or so. I have mixed emotions with such a delay from MP1 yet I'm happy that they are going the extra mile to ensure a quality product is released. I'm sure a lot of repetitive meetings, open issues matrixes and late nights are all in play right now.
i just hope it gets here before i have to turn in my old 2016 explorer sport at the end of the month or it might make sense to pick up a cheap car vs rentals until the SQ5 arrives. Not sure if the dealer would float me a loaner car for an undetermined amount of time.

I ordered my Q5 on March 3, right after the Cleveland car show. My dealer told me I should get my car in 110 days (June 21) I called in 105 days for update and was told not until August 1. I called again at the end of July and was told it was still on-time for August 15. WTF? I called again on August 15 and was told my car would reach port in Jacksonville on August 19. I tracked the auto transport ship named Goodwood that reached the port in Jacksonville at 4:30AM on the 19th. By 4:00 PM on the 19th it left port on the way to Rhode Island. Does anyone know how long it will take by truck from Jacksonville, FL to Cleveland, OH?
