2019 Q5 Premium Plus no A/C
 
Had my 2019 Q5 for 8 weeks during this time it has been back to the dealership 3 different times for losing A/C. The first time they recharged the system, lasted 3 days and back to the shop. Was told it was the evaporator that required replacement. This unit is under the dash. Required windshield to be removed along with the dash, this took 13 days.
Got it back and worked for awhile.
I don't drive the car much and had it out this past Monday, you guessed it, no A/C. Back to dealership, today I called them only to be told there is a leak....really!
No ETA when it will be completed.
Out of 8 weeks of ownership the dealership has had it for 3 weeks and counting......and this was a brand new purchase. Will update as this saga continues.

Time to consider filing a Lemon Law complaint; check with your state's consumer protection agency to see the specifics (each state has their own specific law). Be sure you keep receipts, a journal of how long they had the vehicle, repair costs, etc.

I have been reading of a similar post on another forum, vehicle went back to dealer 3 times and they just recharged the gas claiming nothing was wrong. Owner ended up going to an independent air conditioner specialist who applied a dye to the gas which showed a leak in the system.
In my area it is a big environmental deal if refrigeration gas if leaking, they played that card to the dealer principal of the workshop and had the issue repaired with some additional benefits without reporting it to any government agency.
