Now should a car for Global market dress every need and every want of every demographic??? Probably not and EMEA is its biggest market.
So based on your statement why do Mercedes and BMW offer better solutions for not only cups but also wireless charging?

Last time I checked they're both very German like myself in Both fit large drinks and phones without an issue

Here's an example from my previous BMW (X3 M40i) and current X5 50i

X3 cupholders + wireless charger (open)

X3 cupholders + wireless charger (closed)

X5 cupholders + wireless charger (closed)

X5 cupholders + wireless charger (open)

It's called the marking answer for an engineering screwup.

Sort of what I was trying to show everything before the refreshed interiors (A6/7/8/Q8) was like that, now they're marginally better

I know! Sales manager at my dealership tried that same angle as well, and then I mentioned "why the functioning ashtrays then?" And I got silence...

BMW gave me a functional one that sits in the cup holder. It's standard even though I don't smoke. I've never liked sales people they're usually acting in their best interest not yours

Hi Jeremy,

Did you get this and install it yourself?
Would love to see pics, I’m interested in purchasing one.

Thanks!

Just a quick update, I recently purchased a Samsung S10 Plus and put it in the charger and it fits and charges it. The phone had the official Samsung LED case fitted, so it is just a little bit larger.

Do the iphone "plus" models fit? I sat in a 2019 Q7 at the dealer the other day and tried to put my iphone 8 plus on the wireless pad and it was way to big. Yes i have a low profile slim case on it.

the phone fits (8+)

the phone with a case, may not - all depends on the case itself. Particularly because many cases will not work with a wireless charger to begin with

Witeless charging has worked with this case on my phone, in a genesis g80 and in a Range Rover. So unless the case additional few mm are the problem it should be ok. In the Q7 at the dealer it wasn’t even close to fitting. Without the case it might have squeezed into the area but that’s hardly convenient lol.
