Default SQ5 gmeter (or coded to display in Q5?)

Does the gmeter work for everyone when in sport display view?
No data seems to register even though the numbers swap between red and white between when the vehicle is stopped and moving.

There's no G meter on my SQ5, it is a RoW feature?

No. But it is a feature on RS models. It can be coded, but the powertrain software can’t feed the data for it to be of any value.

I knew it was on the RS models, but I wasn't sure about RoW ones. Thank you for explaining how no S models have it. I assume it's to keep some small features exclusive to RS models, just like our center speedometer.

That's pretty strange - could be mine wasn't prepped properly by the dealership.
When i select the options in the virtual cockpit (left option button on steering wheel) - i get the option of sport display (i believe under trip computer)
This shows the gmeter which doesn't seem to provide any data.

I got this to show up in the VC using VAG-COM. Forgot, the options to do it but a google search will help. I turned it back off, because I have a Q5 therefore do not have the hardware to support it. I'm guessing this is an RS model thing.

It is possible. You did not enable it yourself? Was this an ordered or inventory vehicle?

It was an inventory vehicle. I'm pretty certain the gmeter was there upon delivery and I only activated engine data (power/torque)
Was thinking it could also be an s-sport or dynamic steering thing, but either way, took it in to the dealer for other issues and seems like no one remembers ever seeing the gmeter on an SQ5.
Will probably turn it off once i get the car back. Too bad as would have been a nice display to play around with.
Thanks for all the input!
