Alternatives to Pirelli 255/40r21
Hello all,
As the title suggest I’m looking for quality alternatives to Pirelli 255/40r21 summer tires for my 18 SQ5. Current Pirelli’s travelled about 34k miles before getting down to 3/32, but would be interested in tires that this community has experience having equal or greater life. |
Check out this thread...some good discussion here.

Side note, 34k is actually really good for the Pirellis. A lot of people report anywhere from 10k to 20k. I got the unlucky 10k life unfortunately.

Mine lasted 21K miles...mostly highway miles. Replaced them with similar Pirellis with 300 hardness rating. Not a ton of options out there

Michelin Pilot Spor AS 3+ are the best all season option, otherwise any Michelin Pilot Sport tire would be good if you want a summer option.

265s fit as well and they are easier to find

installed the new michelin pilot sport 4 SUV, they seem fine but not a lot of miles done TBO

As a side note, are the AO tires any different than what you'd get anywhere else or is it purely a branding difference so they can be more difficult to match prices?
