Does anyone know if this is possible (showing google earth with google maps and routing with Android Auto)?

No, unless you're able to mod the APK .Check on XDA, if a version exists you'll find it there .

Unfortunately no, but you can enabled satellite view in the AA app if you're not plugged into the car .Try opening AA, go to the map tab, and enable satellite .then plug the phone in and see what happens
