If you come out to visit us in Washington State (I know, a bit of a drive) I figure you could just drive onto a ferry and check the app at each end of the trip. It should show the car has been moved....

Just to add a bit to this subject, I drove over into canada this weekend and the app was not able to show my car's data including location. It simply reported that current data can not be retrieved.
