Meh. Works for me, fairly well. INRIX was 10x worse IMO.
Waze is btr,..but Android Auto blows, soooo keeping the Sirius, with a cheap addon ($4/mo for traffic) to my subscription, was a no brainer vs worthless AudiConnect.

But too each, their own.

OP here. Thanks for all the useful responses. I'm glad there are some folks on here as annoyed by this as I am, as well as people who have decided to look past it and move on to more important things.

Thought some of you might be interested in how I resolved this situation. The wife is from Germany, and ultimately decided she wasn't ready to move to BMW yet, even if she thought it drove a little better. Turns out we weren't driving the best SQ5 example, since we didn't test the SQ5 with the sport package. With that set in dynamic mode, the SQ5 was as much fun, just with a little different character. We got in Navarra Blue, which contrasts nicely with the red brake calipers on the Sport Pkg. At this point it was $4K more than the BMW, but I was able to get the dealer under invoice, and there were tons of lease rebates this month ($3750!), and she is sending my comments in about AudiConnect as part of the sale, so it ended up being a wash between the cars.

In the meantime, I am using CarPlay in the A5, and not paying the next round of extortion for traffic data. I am very much hoping that this situation will change before my A5 lease is up in 11 months!
