Audi Pre-sense being activiated when vehicle is stopped

It shocked me this morning when I was stopped in a red light (engine is temp off). My seat belt pulled all in a sudden and my dash showed Pre-Sense is active. Anyone sees that before?

The systems are active until the car has been shut down. Even then, side assist and most likely pre-sense rear (probably what was triggered in your car) are active until you get out of the car and close the door. Then you are on your own.

Good point. I wasn't paying attention at my rear when this all happened. Glad and hope this is not a sensor malfunction.

I had the same thing happen to me when sitting at a red light.
I think it was the pre-sense in the rear but I wasn't looking in the rear view mirror at the time so I don't know what set it off.

Happened to me last week during rush hour stop and go traffic. It was due to a truck bearing down on me from behind. It stopped quickly through.

My guess is someone approaching from the rear at a high rate of speed. Had it once when I was slowing for a right turn and buddy behind me wasn't using his brain….
