If you do decide to take the plunge, I'm sure some people here would like to hear how it goes (me - not so much 
- can be kind of costly & I don't keep my cars that long.)
Although if it can be done on a 4M Q7, I don't see any reason it wouldn't work for a B9 QR - virtually the same technology.
